The episode has Chinese railroad and mining laborers; a Chinatown; Chinese doctor, merchant, prostitute and infant; a past interracial romance; a mining strike; a scheming mining owner; a riot against the Chinese; and flashes of kung fu. The slurs used are pigtailed scabs, John Chinaman, and Chinaman.
Irene Yah-Ling Sun, Frank Michael Liu, Richard Loo and George Chiang are in the cast.
